1991

Fishburn Hedges is set up to handle corporate reputation management and look at communications. Chris North sets up design offer integrally. There are eight founding shareholders.

1996

Fishburn Hedges is bought by advertising group Abbot Mead Vickers (now AMV BBDO) in a potential £15m deal. Fishburn Hedges has 80 staff, 15 are on the design side. 1998 income of £7.8m (Marketing magazine)

The Design Offer

90 per cent print/ literature

10 per cent corporate identity

20 per cent are shared clients

1999 design fee-income was £1.13m. Design business is 15-20 per cent of overall business in terms of income.

The future

Joint business is going to grow more as the trend in the sort of design the company is doing develops.
