Sharpedge cuts it with college

Communications specialist Sharpedge Design has created the promotional material and website for a new optical training course at City and Islington College in London.

The consultancy, also based in the capital, works extensively in the education sector. In the project for the college it has combined a modern style with a professional and scientific image for the new material. The target audience is formed of optical industry professionals and general staff within optical manufacturing companies.

Sharpedge Design creative director Lloyd Clater says the website, scheduled to go live on 12 September, “marks a breakthrough in qualifications and training for the optical manufacturing industry emphasising practical skills, competence and quality. It was vital that the design clearly communicated the unique, innovative and high quality on-line training, qualifications and assessment on offer,” he adds.

City and Islington College head of applied optics Tony Botten adds: “Sharpedge Design has played an integral role in developing a site which is set to transform the optical manufacturing industry.”

Sharpedge Design has created promotional literature and on-line communications for several educational institutions, including Lewisham College, Waltham Forest College, the Association of Colleges and the Further Education Funding Council.
