Coffee giant stirs up website

Hertfordshire group Tableau has designed a new website for coffee manufacturer Douwe Egberts, to educate consumers about coffee and strengthen the company’s position in the stylish ABC1 market.

The inaugural site went live at the end of last month and is intended to be easy to navigate.

“The Internet is a very direct way of communicating with our consumers and finding out about their habits and attitudes – invaluable information to help us develop our brands on an on-going basis,” says Douwe Egberts financial director Mark Flynn.

Tableau managing director Russell Sheffield says the group will look to graft an e-commerce facility on to the site next year.
