Garry Blackburn enters The Fourth Room

Former Interbrand Newell and Sorrell creative and associate director Garry Blackburn has joined The Fourth Room as creative director.

Blackburn took up the newly created position in mid-November, with a small share holding in the group. He is working in the group’s illumination unit.

Blackburn’s long-term task is to build up his design team. His appointment follows that of former Ideo project manager Nick Dormon, who joined The Fourth Room as a principal in October. Dormon is a consultant on a range of strategic business issues.

Meanwhile, Interbrand Newell and Sorrell says it is looking to fill Blackburn’s former position.
