LNC to solidify its bond with Frankfurt group

Lloyd Northover Citigate is planning to establish stronger ties with Frankfurt design group the Alexander Demuth Agency, with which it has just collaborated on a corporate identity project for Europe’s largest flight tourism company.

The identity for C&N Touristic was launched this week. C&N was formed by a merger of charter airline Condor and package tour group NUR Touristic, both German companies. “It aims to position C&N as a powerful force in the European holiday market”, says LNC director John Lloyd.

The new C&N identity will be used to endorse a wide range of travel sub-brands, such as Neckermann and Terramar, and will be applied to brochures, corporate advertising, retail outlets, aircraft and service vehicles. LNC and Alexander Demuth won the job in a credentials pitch against Wolff Olins and Meta Design, says a spokesman for LNC.

The Alexander Demuth Agency is one of a number of affiliates of LNC located around the world. At present, the two consultancies have a working arrangement, but changes to this are planned. “We have a very close relationship with Alexander Demuth… A more formal relationship is on the cards. We are very ambitious in that sense,” says Lloyd.

Lloyd says the London consultancy sees its future as a worldwide operator, and that Europe is an increasingly important market for it. He declines to reveal further details on the Alexander Demuth tie-up until an official agreement has been reached.
