Nucleus gap at Superdrug

Superdrug says it will not decide until the new year whether to replace Nucleus Design, the group which resigned from its packaging roster last month.

Nucleus helped Superdrug set up the roster in 1996, and has left as part of an ongoing refocus of its offer. Both parties say the split was entirely amicable.

“While we’re not getting out of packaging entirely, we’re not pursuing opportunities in some areas to enable us to focus more on corporate identity and new media,” says Nucleus managing director Peter Matthews.

Matthews says Nucleus has left other rosters in the last two years as part of the refocus. The group is likely to continue working with Superdrug on other non-packaging projects.

The Superdrug roster comprises Wickens Tutt Southgate, The Creative Leap, Williams Murray Banks and Turner Duckworth.
