The debate about free pitching may still be rumbling on throughout the design industry, but a recent advert in London’s Evening Standard could well instigate a price war.
Promising ‘Logo’s from only £99’, design and advertising group Media Link also guarantees a full graphic design service. Further investigation finds that the group spends a considerable amount of time researching and designing an identity, all for less than £100.
‘We will design a logo based on the type of business you are,’ explains a spokesman. ‘It takes two to three hours to design a style and create five or six different designs. We then send a colour bromide of the logo and a disc for letterheads. It is very, very high quality.’
If for any reason you don’t like the designs, it will cost another £150 to make changes.
