Contacts rebrands engineers

The Institute of Vehicle Engineers, founded in 1881, has been given a new name and identity by London design and advertising group Contacts Communications.

Now known as IVehE, the institute represents engineering professionals practising within the automotive industry.

Contacts was appointed to the rebranding on the basis of previous projects it had carried out for the institute, including the design of trophies for its annual awards scheme.

“The new logotype combines the fine lines and precision of a blueprint with an aspirational element of streamlined motion, generically representing the role of the vehicle design engineer,” says Contacts director David Parker.
