Three on Urban Design shortlist

A shortlist of three contenders for the Special Urban Design Award has been announced by The Civic Trust.

In total, 134 entries were submitted to the contest, sponsored by the Department of Environment, Transport and Regions. The winner will be announced in March.

The shortlisted entries are: Sheffield City Council’s Heart of the City Public Realm Improvements; the Jubilee Line extension, headed by architect Roland Paoletti; and Brindley Place, Birmingham, by Townshend Landscape Architects.
