Funding boost for Coventry University

Coventry University has received a £2.5m boost from the Higher Education Funding Council for England to plough into its School of Art and Design and develop a National Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.

The funding will be used to develop IT-based design modelling facilities and support projects between seven car companies and five universities in the US, Holland and Hong Kong. The university is planning to develop teaching approaches in design studio practice and 3D work.
