The Royal Mail is marking the May centenary of the birth of James Bond creator Ian Fleming with six stamp designs, featuring the covers of different versions of the most famous superspy novels (pictured).

The stamps are the work of London graphic design group A2 Design, which has opted for a landscape format. Each shows four separate editions of one of the titles.

Fleming himself was responsible for the covers of the first novel Casino Royale and From Russia with Love. Casino Royale features on one of the two first-class stamps. The other is Dr No, the first of the Bond series to be filmed.

The 54p stamps highlight the covers of Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever, while the final 78p pairing features For Your Eyes Only and From Russia with Love.
