The inaugural CSD Scotland International Design Award has been presented to Doug Hamilton, executive creative director of Wolff Olins, in recognition of his work for clients including Orange, Go and First Direct. The awards scheme was initiated to mark the achievements of Scottish-trained designers who have spent some or all of their careers working outside Scotland (DW 28 May). ‘I am surprised and delighted. It is marvellous to be recognised in this way,’ says Hamilton.
