Deep Pan Pizza brand overhaul

ONE of the UK’s leading pizza chains, Deep Pan Pizza Company, is rebranding its whole group after a six-month trial of new restaurant formats. A new logo, frontage and interiors have been developed to make it “more family-friendly”, according to managing director Peter Pullan.

The new format, designed by Rugby consultancy Bomber Design, was installed in branches in London’s Oxford Street and in Hereford over the past six months. New facias were introduced last week to outlets in Bristol and Aylesbury.

Bomber Design quantity surveyor David Richards says: “We’ve done the new logo, signage and refurbishments to give it a refreshing uplift.”

Pullan says there is “a fairly aggressive schedule” to refit units over the next 15 months. “The interiors are moving more towards creating a friendly, rather than cluttered atmosphere. We’re still very much a family and children’s restaurant and we want to make it more family-friendly.”

Owned by City Centre Restaurants, Deep Pan Pizza has 80 UK branches.
