New kit for Spurs store

Retail specialist Dalziel & Pow has designed Tottenham Hotspur’s new 500sqm megastore, due to open on 6 July.

The new store is located at the Premiership club’s ground in White Hart Lane, north London. It will replace the existing shop, which opened in 1979. Fans will have access to an extensive product range of club kit, leisurewear and souvenir items.

The London design consultancy has taken advantage of the site’s length and dominant high street location by expanding the frontage and creating a new interior and exterior environment. A teaser for the store’s interior will appear on the new shopfront. Products will be displayed in six window bays, supported by images of David Ginola and Sol Cambell, who are two of the club’s leading players.

Dalziel & Pow associate marketing director Adrian Warren says: ‘Fans will be drawn into the store’s corner entrance, which will be remodelled and strengthened with a dramatic, glazed double-height opening, on to a new lobby with atmosphere graphics and a “hall of fame” feature display.’

With the huge demand for club merchandising, Tottenham is not ruling out expanding the concept into other selected retail locations at a later date. But a club spokesman says: ‘There are no plans to open any other megastores in the near future’.
