Teviot wins six-figure Borders tourist contract

The Scottish Borders Tourist Board has awarded a one-year design contract to Teviot.

The Edinburgh-based consultancy beat six other groups, believed to include Pointsize Associates and 1576 Advertising, to the work, following an unpaid creative pitch in April. It is worth a six-figure sum.

According to Teviot director Peter Lennon, the group will be working with the tourist board to promote the Borders as Scotland’s leading short-break destination. Projects will include designing holiday guides, activity-specific print materials, customer magazines, seasonal direct mail and bus-back advertising.

Teviot has held the tourist board’s design contract since 2002.

Meanwhile, the consultancy has won a two-year contract to produce marketing guides and support materials for Visit Scotland’s business tourism unit.

The department promotes Scotland to the corporate world as a top destination for meetings, incentives and conferences.
