Barrett sells his soul to advertising world

Don’t you just love designers’ bluntness? At a recent Pentagram Design evening event, Graphics International editor Chris Barrett announced that he will soon be leaving to work for a Dutch advertising agency.

Pentagram Design partner Justus Oehler quickly attacked him with mock horror. ‘You what? Going to work for the devil?’ he said righteously. He then proceeded to demolish the design press, accusing it to be lacking in critical analysis.

All very interesting topics of discussion, we think, always good for a bit of a verbal scuffle. However, Barrett didn’t look too impressed, and quickly departed the gathering.
