A new music venue in London’s Hackney draws upon waves for its inspiration. Named Ocean, the venue will sport a multi cultural identity by Dolphin to reflect the diversity of musical styles it will host. ‘The ocean spreads across the world, touching all continents. The logo makes use of the similar visual properties between ocean waves and sound waves,’ says Ocean Music Trust development manager Simon Delf. Dedicated to performance, education and training, the venue goes live in autumn 1999.
