Dandy decorator to ruffle interior designers further

Forget free-pitching (better still, don’t do it), a new obsession is about to take hold of the design community – that of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen-baiting.

Having already enraged the interiors brigade by confusing design with decorating through the obnoxious Changing Rooms TV programmes, our long-haired ‘friend’ is planning an even greater assault on design sensibilities.

He is about to embark on a new BBC2 series on the history of taste, the only tasteful thing about it promising to be the omission of the word ‘good’ from the programmes’ descriptor.

What will the likes of style guru Peter York and hitherto ‘taste guardian’ Stephen Bayley think about this? What do you reckon? Answers on a postcard, please.
