Latin style for Kemistry film channel idents

Kemistry has designed four on-screen idents for satellite movie channel Studio Universal Italia, which goes on air on 1 September.

The idents have been created for the Serial Thriller, Realta Parallele, Film Café and Black & White programming packages, for a fee of £25 000.

The consultancy was briefed to create identities that could fit with the channel identity.

‘Kemistry’s task was to build on the reputation [of Studio Universal] with a series of idents to promote various film genre packages,’ says Kemistry creative director Graham McCallum.

Each sequence features the black and yellow of the Italia master brand and appears in different manifestations.

They are all are ‘very Italian’, says McCallum. ‘It’s all very moody and passionate, not at all what you would get here [in the UK],’ he says.

The consultancy won a 12-way unpaid creative pitch against undisclosed international rivals to secure the work.
