Humble pie at the sandwich shops

Designers, even the most successful ones are, of course, a very modest bunch. Not for them the chauffeur-driven limousines and legions of fawning yes-men.

Still, it’s refreshing to read in London’s Evening Standard that The Attik joint founder and expert self-publicist Simon Needham, despite all his success and his BMW, fetches his own sandwiches at lunchtime.

Such humility is nearly on the level of superstars such as Arnold Schwarzeneggar and Bruce Willis listing their home numbers in the Los Angeles phone book.
