Entranet plans London studio

Digital consultancy Entranet is to set up a £5m central London studio for designing and demonstrating digital TV and WAP mobile phone applications.

The Goring-on-Thames-based group has earmarked a site in Soho’s Berwick Street that will house a multi-disciplinary creative team from June.

“We’re at the stage with e-commerce where digital TV is starting to really take off,” says Entranet marketing director Dave Wallace. “We want to create an environment where developers, designers and producers can interact.”

“We are setting up a space where we can demonstrate digital TV and also WAP phones. The true value of digital TV is entertainment,” he adds.

“Entranet wants to get under the skin of the new channels, and show examples of what can be done with the technology,” Wallace says.

The site will contrast with the group’s campus-style base near Reading. It is currently being refitted by Lomax and Dentons, to “create an enjoyable, yet creative environment”, says Wallace.
