Top trumps for British Design and Art Direction

British Design and Art Direction has introduced a Top Trumps-esque redesign of its President’s Lectures mailers by NB Studios.

To give the speakers prominence, the design, based on the children’s card game, features a line drawing of the person on one side, along with a ‘visual metaphor’ hinting at their identity.

An image of the speaker’s work and career statistics is on the back of the A6 card.

Lecture tickets are simplified playing card-size versions, and the images are followed through in posters.

‘This is a really fun but effective solution to promoting a wide selection of speakers. I hope everyone will get a lot of pleasure receiving and opening the pack,’ says D&AD education director Claire Fennelow.
