Loewy takes up Whitbread

Whitbread’s purchase of the 16 Marriott hotels in the UK has led to a corporate rebranding programme for Raymond Loewy International.

The London consultancy previously designed promotional literature for Whitbread’s 12 Country Club Resorts. On the strength of this, Whitbread called the consultancy in to rebrand its resorts, incorporating the Marriott name.

A new division has been created called Marriott Hotel & Country Clubs. Raymond Loewy International is designing a system for all exterior signage and creating stationery, promotional literature and materials for each of the hotels.

The new designs are due to be introduced in March 1996.
