Interior designer David Collins enjoys throwing dinner parties for his design industry chums, but, as a busy man-about-town, he doesn’t always have time to rustle up a soufflé or a Beef Wellington. So he calls in the caterers.
However, there are caterers and there are caterers. Collins informs the Financial Times: ‘On another occasion, my assistant kept asking me: “Who is going to do the food?” Eventually, I rang up Marco Pierre White at 5pm in a panic and he offered to come over and sort it out. My friends were very impressed.’
Oh, how the other half live.
