A revolutionary Minitram vehicle, manufactured by Transport Design International and Winstanley & Co, was unveiled last week, designed to reduce the cost of public transport and help reduce emissions.

The 30-person Minitram, designed by Martin Pemberton and Paul Salkeld of TDI, is powered by a cost-effective battery and has a zero rate of waste emissions.

It was designed to link park-and-ride sites at the edges of towns with local services and amenities, and is planned to be trialled in Stratford-upon-Avon next spring.
