Design industry representation on the new British Design & Art Direction board will be boosted in the new year, after the election of Trickett & Webb director Lynn Trickett to the executive.

She joins incoming president David Stuart, creative director of The Partners, who will be replacing BMP DDB creative director Larry Barker.

Trickett is joined on the board by the advertising industry’s John Pallant and Peter Souter, from agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO respectively. They take up their positions from the end of January at the next AGM.

David Stuart takes over the one-year presidency from Barker, who is standing down from the D&AD board together with Mike Denny and Alex Taylor.

Stuart says of the new members: “We are delighted with the election of three such high-quality candidates, who’ll help us work on our exciting ideas for 2001.”
