Cognac distils new identity

French cognac house Remy Martin is to unveil a new bottle and packaging for its flagship VSOP cognac brand. Design is by Lewis Moberly.

The bottle, carton and graphics have all been redesigned to keep abreast of the international drinks market. Remy Martin has retained the ground-breaking frosted

bottle it first started using in 1972.

“The Remy Martin bottle is an icon, therefore every change we have made has been very carefully considered,” says Lewis Moberly creative director Mary Lewis. The once dumpy bottle is now taller with a tapered base. “It is elegant and elevated; reflective of the brand’s stature,” says Lewis.

Remy Martin’s heroic centaur symbol is now visually linked to the brand name, set in its own circle and recessed in the bottle shoulder.
