Co-op to roll out new identity by McConnell

The Co-operative Group is to roll out a new identity, created by John McConnell, across its entire estate of more than 3000 UK outlets, bringing uniformity to its diverse offering, which extends from banks to funeral parlours.


The organisation will be known as The Co-operative and, along with facias and interiors, packaging will be revamped. McConnell, who acts as a design advisor to the brand, says it’s likely that design groups will be appointed to the ‘lots of different pieces of work’.
