Kelvingrove museum
Redman Design has unveiled its interiors concepts for Glasgow’s Kelvingrove museum, following their approval last week by Glasgow City Council. The museum was awaiting the decision on the £12.5m Lottery funding bid as Design Week went to press.
Themes for the large court galleries are ‘flight, the earth and animals on the edge’. Concepts include double-height gallery spaces to ‘revive, refresh and excite visitors’, large display structures including a globe, and interactive units for visitors, who will be able to explore topical environmental issues, says partner Bryn Redman.
