If you’re spending time at the Edinburgh festival pop into the exhibition From Noah’s Ark to Central Park, an exhibition of contemporary art and illustration from Roger la Borde. The show will explore 15 years of British illustration, through archival and specially commissioned designs. Work will be for sale. Prices start at 50. Until 30 August.

In Manchester, at the Corner House Gallery view Reckoning With The Past: Contemporary Chinese Paintings. The exhibition gives an insight into contemporary art in China with a kaleidoscopic view of past, present and future images. Until 21 September.

Why not visit Dreamspace II, a giant inflatable artwork by Maurice Agis with music by Stephen Montague. The sculpture forms a space that can change our perception of the urban environment as well as creating personal, physical and emotional responses. Until 7 September.
