Rdc-Foley Cooke has created the brand identity and interiors for Bookbound, a start-up airport-based books retailer launching at Birmingham International Airport this week.
The venture, owned by specialist airport retailer Alpha Retail, will launch with two stores, one each landside and airside. If successful the concept will roll out across other airports in the UK.
Rdc-Foley Cooke commercial director Michael Foley says the Bookbound name was chosen ‘as a nice play on words, like in-bound and out-bound, that are pertinent to the airline industry’.
The group was appointed to the project without a pitch on the strength of previous work with Alpha Retail on brands such as World News CafÃ©.
