Nike is launching its latest running shoe next month. Nike Free has been designed at Nike’s Innovation Kitchen in its Portland, Oregon headquarters. Headed up by designer Eric Aver, senior engineer Tom Hatfield and Nike Research Lab designer Jeff Pisciotta, Free is designed to ‘complement the natural flexibility and motion of the foot’. A company spokesman says tests show it is ‘one of the most stable shoes that Nike has ever created’.
