Appetite stirs up Silver Spoon

Appetite has redesigned the packaging for Silver Spoon’s artificial sweetener brand, Nothing Comes Closer to Sugar, which hits the shelves this week.

The work, which is understood to be worth between £20 000 and £25 000, forms the first in a series of Silver Spoon packaging jobs for the consultancy.

The revamp is designed to place greater emphasis on the Silver Spoon brand and its natural sugar values, and also to soften the brand’s “artificial feel”, says Appetite head of brands Jason Butler.

“It’s about broadening the appeal within the sweetener market, picking up the pace with a new design,” he adds.

Appetite was appointed in December last year following a credentials and creative pitch against two undisclosed consultancies.

The consultancy is also revamping packaging for Sucron, Silver Spoon’s artificial sweetener brand for use in cooking, which is scheduled to launch by mid-summer.

The consultancy says it has been appointed to two other packaging design jobs but refuses to disclose details.
