Habitat set for interiors trials

Retail giant Habitat is aiming to trial an interiors format in Hamburg in the autumn, with the help of its in-house design team and incumbent consultancies.

While full details of the concepts remain under wraps, the retailer is understood to be experimenting with more interactive formats. It is not yet clear how or where these may be applied.

A Habitat spokeswoman says the concepts are set to be unveiled in September at “a newly-constructed flagship store in Hamburg to see how they will work”.

Design consultancies including Graphic Thought Facility and Digit, which is currently redesigning Habitat’s website (DW 12 April), are believed to be involved in the project.
