Curious cashes in with Halifax

Halifax, which gained bank status in June, launched an account for 11-15-year-olds yesterday. Identity and card design are by Curious.

The card is designed specifically for that market, says Curious director Derek Martin. The bank is currently trialing an opaque white card, and plans to bring out a transparent version, technology permitting. The trial card has computer imaging, a hologram and a transparent signature strip.

“Research showed the target market perceived holograms as having cachet,” says Curious deputy design director Jon Jones.
