Shortlist shows judges were spoilt for choice
I did find it refreshing to read David Watson’s take on the London 2012 Olympic bid process (Letters, DW 20 November). He was certainly magnanimous about being a runner up, although I suspect that – just like us – the real reason for writing was to ensure that a logo he was proud of actually gaining an audience.
We agreed that his work was extremely strong and fully expect the other shortlisted designs to be of a high standard too.
Here’s ours (above). We were disappointed not to win, but, like every other design group in the world, have came to terms with the fact there’s no accounting for taste.
