Italian award widens field

Italian chair industry promotional body Promosedia has opened its annual design competition to non-Italian architecture and design students for the first time.

Ideas for a European Chair Design will compete for up to ten awards to students across Europe. A Promosedia spokeswoman says entries will also be viewed by chair manufacturers, with a view to manufacturing some of them.
