The Workroom creates look for housing charity

London group The Workroom has created the identity and launch literature for Golden Lane Housing, a new charity set up and funded by Mencap.

The charity will work in partnerships to give people with learning difficulties long-term independent or social housing. The identity is intended to be sensitive and upbeat and to convey a feeling of warmth and security, says a Workroom spokesman. It has been designed to be easily adaptable to different scenarios.

Mencap director of social housing Janine Tregelles adds: “The identity needed to appeal to two different areas – both to the commercial market and to parents of people with learning difficulties.”

The identity has been applied to literature and stationery. It will shortly roll out to signage and interiors at Golden Lane’s headquarters in Mencap’s London offices.
