Unilever has appointed Holmes & Marchant to its roster to work on household cleaning product Domestos’s graphics, following the consultancy’s continued service for the brand.

Holmes & Marchant aims to expand its work to other Unilever brands, in keeping with the fmcg giant’s policy to get as many products as possible serviced by fewer consultancies.

The consultancy previously worked on both graphics and packaging for Domestos, but lost the full account to Design Bridge some two years ago.

Subsequently, Holmes & Marchant was reappointed to work on the brand’s graphics, and now it has been accepted on to the Unilever roster for the first time, after an unsuccessful attempt in the past.

Nicola Boud, Domestos global marketing manager, says, ‘Holmes & Marchant has been working with Domestos for quite a while, and has long been our historic consultancy. Design Bridge worked on graphics for a brief period a while ago, but we went back to Holmes & Marchant. Design Bridge has done fantastic work on the bottles and we are very happy with Design Bridge on structure.

‘Holmes & Marchant now has a chance to work on other products. That is the principle of the roster, to get a few consultancies, get them on common ground, and make sure as many brands as possible are serviced by fewer consultancies’, Boud adds.

Jon Davies, managing director of Holmes & Marchant, says, ‘Now we have been added to the roster, we hope to expand to work on some of the personal care products’.
