Electronics group Amstrad has launched a new subsidiary, Digicom Technology, with an identity designed by To The Point.

Digicom was launched this week as part of a rationalisation of Amstrad’s consumer electronics division. The new company will take up Amstrad’s digital cable and satellite TV operations.

To The Point managing director Simon Hutton says: “The new identity had to reflect the wide range of global activities of the new company without limiting it to any specific area.

“The ‘grid’ structure is taken from global grid lines, but in isolation it can be representative of more specific technological elements. The logotype has been created to stand alone and will adapt well to product branding.”

The consultancy is now working on implementation of the new identity, which was designed by recent recruit Joe Mayock.
