RCA gives out awards

Sir Terence Conran, Claes Oldenburg and Charlotte Perriand are tomorrow due to receive honorary doctorates from the Royal College of Art. Professor Vico Magistretti, Nicholas Serota, Martin Hunt, Gillian Ayres and outgoing RCA rector Professor Anthony Jones are to receive senior fellowships.

TKO has topped Design Week’s readers poll for products in the 1996 BBC Design Awards. David Marks Julia Barfield wins the architecture vote for Liverpool’s Watersports Centre, while Pethick & Money wins in graphics with its flexible food wrap. The BBC will show its winners on BBC2 at 9.30pm on Sunday.
