Landor replaces Bruno Toulin

Landor Associates has replaced Bruno Toulin, recently departed executive director for branded environment, with VB Concepts Worldwide international business development director Mickie Holden, who joins on 15 June.

Toulin resigned his position in April without a new job to go to (DW 10 April).

The group has also appointed Saatchi & Saatchi Design senior account director Alec Rattray as a consultant for the group and Harkess-Ord project manager Lisa Bondesio as senior project manager. Both have just started.

Meanwhile, Landor has won a six-way paid pitch to create a new identity for 430-strong Portuguese banking retailer Grupo BPI.

This will bring BPI’s three operations and daughter companies together under one brand. Each currently has its own identity.

“The financial sector is not heavily branded in Portugal and BPI is keen to differentiate itself from the competition by coming under a strong umbrella brand,” says a Landor spokeswoman.

Landor will initially carry out strategic work and hopes to complete the final designs by October.

The identity will roll out across literature, point-of-sale material, facia and signage in one to two month’s time.
