Virgin Trains has unveiled its Silver Lady logo, to appear alongside the existing identity when its new trains are launched next millennium. London consultancy Start created the new marque.
“The logo will be used in various ways to give the trains more personality, glamour and fun. For example, it will probably appear on train noses. But the Virgin brand will continue to be the key element,” says Virgin Train design director Ashley Stockwell.
Start is also working alongside JHL and Priestman Goode to create the trains that the Silver Lady logo will appear on (DW 17 April).
The logo is unveiled as Virgin Rail launches the Virgin First Class Lounge at Euston, designed by London group Kracka. The space encompasses the three states of being: work, rest and play.
