FORMER building society Woolwich is reviewing its brand positioning after its conversion to a bank 18 months ago, confirms a company spokeswoman.
The company is looking for ad agencies to help drive the branding project, but declines to comment on whether design consultancies will be involved. “That is the next stage. We don’t want to speculate and it’s too early to say either way,” says the spokeswoman.
Competition in the financial services sector has mushroomed in recent years, driven in particular by the entrance of the supermarkets and cut-price brands such as Prudential’s Egg to the market.
