Planet all set up for Olympus

Planet has created packaging designed to appeal to the European market for Olympus Optical’s new gift set camera.

The outer box packaging uses the Olympus dark blue “as a theme across the whole range”, says Planet designer Andrew Hall, with photographs by Elliott Erwitt “to distinguish the camera on-shelf”.

Elements of the packaging are flexible to be adapted to the needs of specific countries. The gift set includes a camera, film, carry case and remote control.

A second camera, created by the Olympus’ in-house design team in Tokyo, has also been launched. The pocket-sized camera is covered by a leather-look material and is initially available in brown and black.
