The Royal Television Society is targeting graphic designers who are working in broadcasting.

The RTS has opened its membership out to include “graphics and design professionals working in TV” in a bid to increase its 3700-strong membership.

“When you consider that it’s unique in bringing together every facet of the industry, its a pretty vital organisation for anybody in broadcasting – many more people need to be aware of the benefits of joining,” says society president Michael Grade.

Design is one of “many areas being targeted as it is a growth area which hasn’t traditionally benefited from the networking advantages of the society”, says an RTS spokeswoman.
