Medical work thrives

The medical industry is one of the fastest growing areas for the design sector, according to new research commissioned for The Spring Medical Device Technology Show.

The study, which questioned 372 medical device manufacturers across Europe, says the market produces a 6 per cent year-on-year growth. This is largely due to expansion and relocation plans, with product design central to developments.

Kinneir Dufort business development manager Sean Devane says: ‘Medical companies have also started to recognise the value of industrial design as a strategic business lever in a highly competitive global market.’
