Chemical balances Rubicon logo

Chemical has created the corporate identity for virtual insurance company the Rubicon Corporation, which will be unveiled next week.

Chemical is also working on its website, signage, corporate guidelines and promotional material. Later this year it will develop a business-to-business e-commerce facility for the main brand and begin identity work on Rubicon’s private healthcare offer, which has yet to be launched.

So far the job has been worth just over £26 000. Fees for branding the healthcare offer and secondary promotional material have yet to be confirmed.

Chemical won the project without a pitch. One of the founders of Rubicon used to work with Chemical creative director Tor Willard.

The company is named after the Rubicon river, the crossing of which proved to be a turning point in Julius Caesar’s ascent of the Roman empire. The identity is designed around a mosaic pattern.
