Pop in to the Whitechapel Art Gallery to see David Alfaro Siqueiros: Portrait of a Decade 1930-40. This is the first solo exhibition of Siqueiros, one of Mexico’s most important artists. The display focuses on a decade of conflict between Siqueiros’s art and politics. Until 2 November.

The work of Belgian expressionist artist James Ensor goes on display on 11 September at the Barbican. The exhibition features more than 140 paintings, prints and drawings, including some rarely-seen works featuring seascapes, still lifes, portraits and masked carnival paintings. Until 14 December.

The National Postal Museum has an exhibition, Etching Into Stamps, showing Terence Millington’s paintings and prints, and demonstrating the making of postage stamps. Until 31 December.
