National Power roster undergoes shake up

National Power is restructuring its print roster, and is believed to be slashing its 14-strong list. A decision on the new line up is not expected until after 15 September when the company’s design co-ordinator Rachel Mercy returns from leave.

The current roster for the electricity company includes The Identica Partnership, Marsteller Giant, Bosworth Field and Impact in Somerset.

Bosworth Field was responsible for National Power’s latest graduate recruitment brochure, and is believed to be pitching for a place on the revamped list.

“We are in the process of drawing up a new roster but nothing has been decided as yet,” says a National Power spokeswoman.

As it stands, the roster divides its member consultancies into three types. The top level denotes consultancies which look after premium projects such as full-colour brochure work. The bottom level denotes lower-profile projects such as two-colour material for the client’s internal use.

The roster structure is believed to have been in the balance following movement within National Power. Design groups are unsure of the date for the new roster.

National Power was born six years ago when the Central Electricity Generating Board was spun off into four divisions.
